Cavendish Road, Sheffield

Brief: Clients wanted to create a useable space with interest. Existing site was an old tired softwood deck. Long narrow space, needed to be broken up to make it feel less like a corridor. Silver birch tree to remain and make a feature of it.

Design: Millboard platform steps from the back door onto a porcelain patio. Corten steel planters = screening with bamboo. Fence – Jacksons fencing venetian hit and miss panels. Step up to millboard deck – space for dinning table. Step into sunken deck with built in bench wrapping around silver birch tree. Corten steel panels screening utility space beyond.
