Ranelagh Drive, Sheffield – Rear garden design

Design Brief: To create more useable, interesting and connected spaces within the garden for dining, relaxing and playing. Created with neat defined hard landscapes spaces softened with colourful and seasonal planting.

Design: Raised millboard decking covering the original uneven block paved patio and rockery. Deck included built in bench under kitchen bay window for dining table. Corner bench and fire pit with raised planters and aluminium pergola. Wide steps leading down onto formal lawn with deep herbaceous borders. An outdoor office tucked to the side with a sandstone paved edging around lawn. A small patio tucked into the borders creates the perfect spot to enjoy the evening sun. A drystone wall bench divides the space with timber arches leading through into the ‘wilder’ more natural space beyond. An informal wildlife pond, wildflower meadow and compost bins.
